The second "Yujiang" shield machine designed and manufactured by Liaoning Sansan Industrial Co., Ltd. was successfully offline in Liaoyang, Liaoning, and will soon serve Chongqing Rail Transit Line 27. Chongqing railway owners, funders, general contractors, supervisors and construction Representatives witnessed this exciting moment together.

The second "Yujiang" shield machine designed and manufactured by Liaoning Sansan Industrial Co., Ltd. was successfully offline in Liaoyang, Liaoning, and will soon serve Chongqing Rail Transit Line 27. Chongqing railway owners, funders, general contractors, supervisors and construction Representatives witnessed this exciting moment together.
As a key construction project in Chongqing, Line 27 is the east-west urban rail express line in the Chongqing rail transit network, with a total length of 56 kilometers, running through the entire central city, connecting Bishan District, Shapingba District, Jiulongpo District, Yuzhong District, Nan'an District, Banan District and Chongqing High-tech Zone, connecting Shapingba Station, Chongqing Station, Chongqing East Station and other important urban gateway hubs. The project will start construction in February 2022 and is scheduled to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2026.
With a total investment of 35.9 billion yuan, Line 27 has put into construction 17 shield machines with a diameter of 8.8 meters, including 15 earth pressure balance shield machines and 2 earth pressure/mud-water dual-mode shield machines. Five shield machine manufacturers around the world jointly participate in the construction and compete with each other. The two earth pressure/mud-water dual-mode shield machines with the highest comprehensive technical level and the most complicated manufacturing process are all manufactured by Sansan Industry, and are divided into left and right lines to undertake the tunneling of Chongqing Station-Nanbin Station, a control node project of Line 27, across the Yangtze River.
